SF6's World Tour allows players to take their created character on a global quest for supremacy as they train, fight, and grow. Street Fighter 6 goes out of its way to right the wrongs of its maligned ancestor, delivering one of the most robust single-player modes in the fighting genre. Thankfully, the same cannot be said for its successor. There’s plenty of opportunity for expansion and improvement in the coming years, whether that be DLC or a sequel, and if Avalanche fail to deliver on that then feel free to be unhappy.Despite delivering fantastic gameplay, Capcom generally dropped the ball with Street Fighter 5, particularly in relation to its offline solo content. ![]() Reserve criticism for what Avalanche do in the future rather than what they have done so far with Hogwarts Legacy. If you’re not happy with the game then that’s fine, however I would encourage patience. ![]() Avalanche were successful in capturing the magic of Hogwarts, and I genuinely felt immersed in a world that’s been a huge part of my life for many years. When you factor all this in though, it could have been much, much worse.Īs both a gamer and a big Potter fan, I feel like this game exceeded my expectations. There has been plenty of fair criticism of HL, that I can’t deny. There haven’t been many hugely anticipated games that have been released over the last couple of years without a hitch, however I feel like we got off pretty lightly with HL. I think it’s fair to say that we largely got that. I wanted it to be an immersive, charming Wizarding World RPG, which wasn’t littered with bugs. When the time was ticking down to the release of Hogwarts Legacy, I was just hoping for one thing. ![]() JK Rowling couldn’t include all aspects of the world into seven books, so how could you expect Avalanche to include everything in one game? As I’ve said on a previous post, this is Avalanche’s first attempt at a Wizarding World RPG, so it was never going to be all singing, all dancing. The Wizarding World is exactly that - a world. I’ve only been on Reddit for a few days, but my observation of this sub has led me to believe that a large number of people may have simply expected too much from this game. ![]()
